Creating Tomorrows Leaders  One Black Belt At A Time

There are many reasons for kids to become involved in the Martial Arts. We have developed a program based on

traditional Taekwondo for kids called Karate for Kids. The Karate for Kids program teaches life skills and positive

values as well as martial arts movements. The building blocks for our system are monthly themes like these:

Goals for Martial Arts

Integrity

Honor

Attitude

Goals in the Community

Loyalty

Goals for Relationships

Respect

Goals for Education

Perseverance

Self-Control

In addition to monthly themes, our system includes the unique victory patch. We use the "star system," placing

stars on your child's Victory patch as a reward for good behavior at the ATA Martial Arts center, at school, and at

home. Kids may receive colored stars for the following accomplishments:

             Gold: Academic progress
Silver: Special performance awards (tasks at home, community service)
Blue: Monthly themes and behavior in class
Red: Acts of courage (tournaments, extracurricular activities)

Four different colored Victory Patches are available to accommodate all the stars that can be earned by a high achieving Karate Kid:

        Blue: 0-24 Stars
        Silver: 25-49 Stars
        Gold : 50-99 Stars
        Blue/Gold: 100+ Stars
